Club Alpbach Salzburg enables young, committed people with a connection to Salzburg to participate in the European Forum Alpbach for the entire duration of the event. Special thanks go to our sponsors who provide the financial means for this.

A Club Alpbach Salzburg scholarship includes:
- Participation fee for the European Forum Alpbach
- Guaranteed accommodation directly in the center of Alpbach
- Accommodation costs except for a deductible of € 120
- Contact people on site

Requirements
- Salzburg connection (Salzburg as place of origin, place of residence, place of study or place of work – either currently or in the past)
- Age: 18 to max. 30 years (can be exceeded in exceptional cases with good reason)

1) Resume/CV (without photo)
2) Letter of Motivation:
– Why do you want to participate in the European Forum Alpbach 2024, and what special skills would you bring to enrich the Forum experience? (max. 150 words)
– If you could choose any person, living or dead, to attend the European Forum Alpbach 2024, who would you choose and why? (max. 150 words)
– Share an aspect about yourself that goes beyond what is shown from your resume. (max. 200 words)
– Take a stance on one of the following questions: (max. 350 words)
- In a democracy, how far should or must demonstrations go, and why?
- AI in the Arts: Threat or Opportunity?
- Migration: Danger or Opportunity for Europe?
- Can technological inventions/innovations save the climate crisis?
- What is your position on inheritance tax?
3) Post-It: Create a creative Post-it and show us something you are passionate about. Upload it as PDF – you can add a small description if you want (max. 100 words)

Selection process
Club Alpbach Salzburg takes the awarding of scholarships very seriously and tries to be as conscientious as possible when awarding scholarships. The pre-selection on formal criteria is done by the Club Alpbach Salzburg scholarship team, the final selection by the Club’s Executive Board. Relevant criteria include diversity of interest, creativity, diversity of background, voluntary commitment and critical engagement with topic, as well as a personal point of view on the subject. Applications from people with a diverse background are encouraged.
